Cape Girardeau (Dec 12th 2016)

Hello everyone, hope all is well. We received transfer calls on Saturday, I will be going to the Cape Girardeau MO area, I will still be doing the same thing I have been doing here but I will be doing it in the Cape Girardeau Zone.

Monday we had an exchange with Pagedale, I went down to Pagedale which is in the heart of St. Louis. I was with Elder Havili. We had a great exchange. We were walking on the street and we started walking towards this lady and I stopped her by saying "Hey we are two full-time missionaries. We have been called to teach and we haven't taught someone all day can we teach you?" She said yes and we shared the message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was amazing also very cold outside. After we taught that lady we took brownies to people and took it to a family who didn't have much. They have five children all under the age of 8 years old. So we knock on the door and start to speak with her and shared the message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was really powerful. We told her how the church needs her and she needed the church, it was amazing. Had a wonderful exchange. We also had a lesson with an investigator and had a really good lesson with them as well. We exchanged back that night.

Tuesday we had P-day and it was laid back we emailed and shopped and also washed the car, not much else went on.

Wednesday we had District Meeting and also went on an exchange with Rockwood 1 with Elder Lovik and Elder Scriver. I love Elder Lovik he was a great missionary he finished his mission today which is weird sad and exciting for him. We had Book of Mormon study at the Nickerson’s that night as well and we had chicken legs it was really good.

Thursday we had a meeting in the morning with President and the rest of our Zone. It was really good after we had that meeting we went and made cookies with a member in the Parkway 1st area that Elder Ward knew. We made snickerdoodles they are soo good. We had a lesson with Angie Hudson, it was super powerful, we set a date with her for January 28th. After Angie's lesson, we had a lesson with Beverly, we talked about the temple.

Friday we had service and raked leaves in the morning. Then we had lunch with Lynn at Steak n shake, it was fun as usual. After Lunch, we did some weekly planning and after planning, we collected information for the Stake on people who have been recently baptized.

Saturday we updated the sheet for the Stake report. We went to a members home in Parkway 1 who Ward knew for lunch. We then saw Dale Moore and got ready for the Christmas Party. We passed out cookies to less active members prior to the party. The ward Christmas party was super fun, we had a lot of fun. There was also a lot of people there as well. Saturday night we did some church tours with some non-members who were there super powerful. We also received transfer calls and I got the call that I am going to Cape Girardeau.

Sunday we had church and I said goodbye to members all night, I love the Maryland Heights Ward. It was really fun being here. Now I am on to the next one, Cape Girardeau. I know I will love it there as well.

What a great couple of weeks to go out on. Have a wonderful week and I will talk to you all soon. The church is true.

Love,
