No Rest For The Weary. (Nov 14th 2017)

Hello everyone. I am glad the election is over so people can stop talking about it and stop thinking we are political people.
Last Monday we played Basketball and other sports at our building. We also got to drive the APs car which was sweet, they have one of the new 2017 Malibu’s. We had dinner with the Carpenter’s. They are a really great family. We love going over there. What’s even better is the fact that they are missionary minded.
Tuesday we had transfers. We picked up Elder Griffin (Threesome Companionship) and then I went down to Pagedale because Elder Havili is training and he needed to be with someone. So I went to Pagedale which is in the heart of St. Louis it was fun busing and walking around we had a good time it got a little sketchy at night but I am here safe and sound emailing. We talked to so many people it was crazy.
Wednesday we dropped Elder Havili off to get his new missionary and we went straight to District Meeting. It has been a crazy week. Just nonstop. We did transfer planning and then tried some people and had Bible study, which is fun. We have some interesting characters show up there.
Thursday we had two District Meetings to go to which was fun but meetings sometimes get to you. We love going to them but man meetings can be long. We got to work some. We tried a few referrals and team-ups. Elder Griffin and I went to see some people with a member and Elder Ward went with a member to a teaching appointment. Then we had a lesson with Beverly Hudson. We love Beverly she is awesome.
Friday we had Mission Leader Conference (MCL). They are sooooooo good, President Bateman is a spiritual giant. I had an interview with him and everything he talked about in my interview was what he talked about in MLC except it was a lot longer. After MLC we had dinner with the Flanders at Steak n Shake. It was just the mom, us and five kids. I like being around members because you learn how to do things and how not to do things. I learned one of those lessons at Steak n Shake. We had some appointments that canceled on us which are not fun but we were able to go contact a few people and got a lecture on grace from a gentleman which was fun. I think he said Grace over 200 times in 20 minutes.
Saturday was service packed. We had service for the Carpenter’s. We raked leaves. We made huge piles. It was a lot of fun but exhausting. Then we came home and changed and went to a baptism for Elder Griffin. There was a person in his last area that we went to, then we came back and changed and pulled weeds for a part member family. Then we went and moved some furniture for Beverly. After we did that we had to go back and change and had to do Stake information, then we had Ward Coordination. That went well, it was a busy day and I was feeling/getting sick. Just common cold stuff nothing to big.
Sunday we had an early morning Stake meeting, then we had Ward Council, then church. After church, we had Zone Conference and weekly planning. We had dinner with the Grows and then came straight back and tried to finish planning but haven’t finished yet. So much to do so little time. I love you all. Gotta have Fun and Work Hard. This next week I turn 16 months old... Scary.
Be safe. The church is true. If you are not progressing in your testimony you are digressing. Build your testimony at all times.
Love,

Elder Washburn
