The days are long but the weeks are so fast

Time is just flying by lately. The days are long but the weeks are so fast!

Last Monday we got together with a bunch of Elders and played soccer, it was great after we got done playing we went to a grocery store and got some drinks. As we were heading back this punk teenage kid drove past and was swearing at us. I didn't know how he knew who we were, we weren't even in our shirt and ties. People make me laugh sometimes.

Tuesday was a good day we talked to Prison Carl and he said some more racist stuff to us and we went to Woodriver to talk to Rikki. She is doing great she has been reading the book of Mormon.

So Wednesday we taught this lady, Ronda Pittleton, she is black and likes to wink at me during the lessons it is really weird... We had dinner with the Eldridge family, they have four boys and one girl. They are like the craziest family in the ward probably. Their kids are just nuts.

Thursday was amazing, C. Scott Grow of the seventy came and talked to us. He gave us some really good advice and stuff, it was a great day. I got to meet him and shake his hand.

Friday was great we talked to Ronda and she fed us watermelon (Pic below) and gave us waters she is just the greatest. She accepted a copy of the book of Mormon and said she was going to read it.

Saturday was my favorite day all week. We played street ball in Woodriver with some punk kids who were calling us out so we went and played and beat them. It was really fun it was nice to just play basketball and not worry about anything. Before that we went to Rikki and JD's and had a great lesson with them we read 2 Nephi 31 with them, the spirit was there it was just a great lesson.

Sunday we just did a bunch of busy errands with some members but it was great. Hope everyone has a great week.

Today for P-Day we are going to the Cahokia Mounds with a bunch of Missionaries it should be fun. Church is True.

Love,
Elder Washburn

Waiting for the bus in Woodriver ill to take us home.
I ate over half the watermelon, I was hungry!!!
Called out by some kids to play B-Ball
